Last month, I posted “How to Ask for a Testimonial and not feel Icky”. So you finally got those glowing testimonials. (High Five!) It’s sitting in your inbox or on your Zillow or Google profile, making you smile every time you read it.
But here’s the thing… That single paragraph of client praise? It can—and should—go so much further.
You don’t need more content. You need to reuse what’s already true about the way you show up and serve.
Here’s how to take one great testimonial and stretch it into a full month of feel-good, visibility-boosting, totally-you marketing—without creating anything from scratch.
Break It Into Bite-Sized Social Posts
That glowing review? It’s a 5-post series waiting to happen.
Example testimonial: “Megan made the home-buying process so easy and stress-free. She truly listened to what we needed and never made us feel rushed or pressured.”
Breakdown ideas:
- Post #1: “Megan made the home-buying process so easy…” (caption: Share a behind-the-scenes look at what you do to reduce stress for clients.)
- Post #2: Pull a phrase like “never rushed or pressured” and turn it into a values post: Here’s what working with me never includes…
- Post #3: Use the client’s words as a reel audio overlay
- Post #4: Share a photo from their closing day with a mini story behind the sale
- Post #5: Wrap-up carousel: “What my clients say after working with me”
Use a Line in Your Email Signature or Bio
Think of your testimonial as your best introduction. Take the strongest line and slip it into:
- Your email signature
- Your Instagram bio
- Your LinkedIn headline
Example: “She truly listened to what we needed…” becomes: Known for listening first + delivering with heart.
Turn it into an Instagram Highlight or Story Series
Collect a few client love notes and turn them into:
- A “Client Wins” IG Highlight
- A once-a-week Story Series called “What They Said Wednesday”
You don’t have to explain it—just let their words shine.
Use It As a Lead-In to a Personal Story
Take their kind words and reflect on what made that experience meaningful to you as the agent.
- What challenge did you overcome together?
- What did you learn from them?
- How did it affirm your value?
This builds connection and credibility.
Feature It in a Marketing Piece
Drop a great line from your testimonial into:
- A pop-by tag
- A printed flyer or listing packet
- Your next newsletter intro
Let your clients do the talk, you just show up and deliver.
Final Thought:
You don’t need to shout to be seen. You just need to shine a light on what’s already being said about you.
And if you ever feel weird sharing client praise? Just remember: their words aren’t bragging, they’re proof that what you do matters!
