5 Strategies for a Successful 2025!

Happy New Year! Bild a Better Business

Did you know that 90% of buyers intend to use the same real estate agent for future transactions? Similarly, 75% of sellers plan to do the same. While buyers are often delighted after purchasing a home, sellers may feel slightly less so, mainly due to commission deductions.

Surprisingly, only 14% of buyers and sellers actually return to the same agent for their next transaction. Why? They often forget who helped them, despite the significant time and effort agents invest during the process.

Just think about the potential growth your business could experience if you were able to retain more clients!

It’s a regrettable fact that one of the most common complaints about REALTORS® is the lack of post-closing communication. This oversight is a missed opportunity. Staying connected with past clients fosters trust, generates organic referrals, and strengthens your reputation in the real estate community. While agents typically have good intentions, the constant focus on finding new clients and closing deals often takes precedence.

Strategies for a Successful 2025

  1. Refresh Your Database
Organize and update your contact list to ensure it’s accurate and doesn’t include inactive or outdated information.
  2. Create a Marketing Calendar
Plan consistent touchpoints with your clients, including emails, calls, and postcards throughout the year.
  3. Send Monthly Newsletters
Regularly share valuable insights through email or traditional mail to stay top-of-mind with past clients.
  4. Engage on Social Media
Post entertaining and informational content that resonates with your audience—avoid focusing solely on property listings.
  5. Write and Share Blog Articles
Publish engaging content to boost your online visibility and drive further engagement.

Once your marketing plan is in place, the real challenge is sticking to it. Prepare content in advance, establish monthly themes, and keep a folder of interesting articles for inspiration. Signing up for content sources can also help keep your ideas fresh (though be mindful of inbox clutter!).

The real test comes when business gets busy. Maintaining your newsletters, social media presence, and database connections will ensure that you continue building relationships and growing your business. But that’s a topic for another day!
